The Difference Between Growth and Grind
Growth creates calm. Grind creates chaos.
Fortunately, in my opinion, we’re starting to see a sweeping change in “hustle culture”.
Hustle culture is built on the grind, and always being in it.
From afar, growth and grind look quite similar. Both involve effort and consistency. But they produce different things.
Grind does generate motion, but lacks leverage and efficiency. You work harder, put in more hours, stack tactics on top of each other, but progress feels slow and brutal. There is constant pressure on you, and if you take your foot off the accelerator, your business stalls.
Growth, on the other flipper, is aligned effort. It’s built around using leverage, efficiency, and stacking strategy, rather than tactics. Effort compounds, and your business runs on systems. Clear messaging attract ideal clients, and every step forward in your business makes things slightly easier going forward.
If you stop the grind for a week, your business falls apart.
If you stop growth for a week, you simply create space in your world for yourself.
Growth still requires work, but it doesn’t require overworking yourself. Growth is about designing your business, not exhausting yourself.
