Reading Reef: The E-Myth Revisited
Transform your business through systemization
The E-Myth Revisited, by Michael Gerber, is our book club selection for January 2026.
This modern classic business book explain that most small businesses struggle because their owners work in their businesses as technicians, rather than on the business as entrepreneurs and managers. Sustainable success in business comes from building repeatable processes that allow the business to run smoothly without constantly having to put out fires.
In other words, successful businesses are built on systems.
Whether you’re a solo practitioner or lead a team of 200 people, this book is worth re-reading every so often. I’ve read it a few times before, and as I go through it right now in preparation for Reading Reef next month, I’m getting new stuff out of it that I can apply.
You can pick it up at local bookstores, Amazon, and if you’re a Spotify Premium subscriber it’s one of the free audiobooks in their collection, here.
Next month in the Bizorca Pod community, members will go through the book together, like a book club. We’ll have some discussion about take aways and practical applications, and I’ll do my best to provide a summary of the book and actionable items particularly as they apply to solopreneurs.
If you feel like you’re swimming in circles with your business, The E-Myth Revisited is a great place to start.
